Nikolaos V. Boulgouris, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in theDepartment of Electronic Engineering at King's College London. Dr.Boulgouris has participated in several research projects in theareas of biometrics, pattern recognition, security, and multimediacommunications. He has published more than fifty scientificarticles in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He is aSenior Member of the IEEE and has served as an associate editor(2007-2010) for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
Konstantinos N. Plataniotis, PhD, is a Professor in theUniversity of Toronto's Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department ofElectrical & Computer Engineering. His research interests arein biometrics, communications systems, image and signal processing,multimedia systems, and pattern recognition. He is a registeredprofessional engineer in Ontario and the Editor in Chief(2009-2011) for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters. Hehas contributed to fifteen books and has published more than 300papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Evangelia Micheli-Tzanakou, PhD, is Professor II andDirector of the Computational Intelligence Laboratories in theDepartment of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University. Sheestablished the first-ever experimental Brain to ComputerInterface. She is the recipient of many awards and has publishedover 300 scientific papers. An IEEE Fellow, she has served in manypositions including the IEEE Board of Directors, president of theComputational Intelligence Society, Chair of the IEEE Awards Board,and recently as the IEEE VP of Educational Activities.
