[Change Management in Social Economy. Processes of Change in Non Profit Organisations for People with Disabilities]
Organisations that advocate for the concerns of people with disabilities are subject to a constant process of change. The different agents of change range from normative-legal developments to demographic challenges to new control requirements of the welfare state. The resulting challenges for a historically developed system like the services for people with disabilities are enormous. Especially leaders are challenged to initiate and shape change processes in institutions and services. In order to be able to understand the processes of change it is first of all necessary to understand the particularities of the non-statutory welfare sector and of the services for people with disabilities in the context of the complex structures of organisation, supply and funding. Only against this background leadership recommendations on the basis of the change management theory can be proposed.
