This new volume, Nanopesticides: A Perspective from Welfare to Risk Assessment, is a thought-provoking and comprehensive overview of the emerging field of nanopesticides. The book takes a unique perspective, focusing on the impact of nanopesticides on human welfare as well as in the environment, including their potential benefits over conventional pesticides, including increased effectiveness, reduced environmental impact, and improved safety. The potential risks associated with nanopesticides, including their toxicity to non-target organisms and the potential for nanoparticles to accumulate in the environment, are also covered.

The book offers an environmental risk assessment of nanopesticides, exploring the use of nanopesticides on plants and for crop protection and discussing the impact of nanopesticides in water resources and on soil micro-organisms. The authors also examine using nanocarriers in phytoremediation methods.

The configuration and preparation methods of nanopesticides is addressed, and economical and market aspects of nanopesticides are covered as well.

Offering a balanced and insightful perspective on the rapidly evolving field of nanopesticides and the environmental impact, this volume will be of interest to researchers, agricultural regulators, policymakers, as well as students and faculty. It will also be of immense benefit to anyone interested in the intersection of nanotechnology and agriculture and the potential impact of these technologies on human welfare and the environment.
