Mohammed Afkhami is a collector, philanthropist, and advocate for artists from the Middle East.

Shirin Neshat is an Iranian-born artist and filmmaker living in exile in America. She has spent her career examining what it means to exist between two cultures, focusing on human resilience in the face of upheaval and oppression.

Mahnaz Afkhami is founder and President of the Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP). Prior to the Islamic revolution in Iran, she was Minister for Women’s Affairs and Secretary General of the Women’s Organization of Iran, chair of the English Department and taught literature at the National University of Iran, where she founded and the Association of University Women.

Negar Azimi is a writer and editor and occasional curator. Her essays, criticism, and reportage have appeared in , , , , , , and .

Natasha Morris is a Lecturer in Islamic Arts and a convenor of the Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art at SOAS.
