Über Autor(innen)

Prof.Dr.-Ing.habil.Dr.h.c.mult. Holm Altenbach is a full professor of Engineering Mechanics at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Materials, Technologies, and Mechanics. He has 45 years of experience in teaching and research in various fields of mechanics (material modelling, mechanical analysis of thin-walled structures, composite mechanics, general strength problems, generalized continuum models, etc.). Since 2022 he is retired.

Dr. Vitaly A. Kuzkin received his PhD in 2011 and Doctor of Science degree in 2020 from the Institute for Problems in Mechanical Engineering RAS (under supervision or the Corresponding Member of the Russia Academy of Sciences, Professor Anton M. Krivtsov). Dr. Kuzkin holds a position of leading researcher at IPME RAS and professor at Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University. His research interests include thermomechanics, ballistic heat transport, thermoelasticity, transient thermal processes, equations of state, thermal expansion, and molecular dynamics. The man goal of his research is to bridge the gap between discrete and continuum descriptions of thermomechanical processes in solids. V.A. Kuzkin was awarded the St. Petersburg Government Prize in the field of integration of education, science and industry (2022), the Medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences for young scientists (2020), and J.I. Alferov stipend for young scientists (2020). In 2023, Dr. Kuzkin became a member of the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied mechanics.
