Castro Varela, María do Mar
María do Mar Castro Varela ist Professorin für Allgemeine Pädagogik und Soziale Arbeit an der Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin. Sie ist u.a. Gründerin und Mitglied des bildungsLab* und Vorsitzende des Berliner Instituts für kontrapunktische Gesellschaftsanalysen (BI:KA). Ihre aktuellen Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen Fragen der Ethik, Kunst, Trauma, Emanzipation und Wissensproduktion.

Appenroth, Max Nicolai
Max Nicolai Appenroth (M.A.), geb. 1986, promoviert am Institut für Public Health der Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin zum Zugang zur medizinischen Versorgung von trans Personen. Er lehrt und doziert im In- und Ausland und setzt sich auf (inter-)nationaler Ebene für die Rechte von trans Menschen ein.

Max Nicolai Appenroth is a trans activist and Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Public Health at the Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. His research, teaching, and activism focus on the (in)accessibility of healthcare for trans people on an international level.
María do Mar Castro Varela (Prof. Dr.) holds a double degree in psychology and educational science and a PhD in political science. She is a professor of education and social work at Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin. Her work focuses on gender and queer studies, postcolonial theory, critical migration studies and education studies, conspiracy theories and trauma studies. She was a senior fellow at the Institute for the Science of Man (IWM) in Vienna, and is founder and member of bildungsLab* Berlin and chair of the Berlin Institute for Contrapuntal Social Analysis (BIKA e.V.).
