How can historians study the interplay between local and global contexts, exchanges and encounters in the modern era? This volume contributes to the field of global history by exploring the concept of “global history from below” and investigates global historical scales of analysis, the relation between micro and macro levels, and the diverse ways that global issues have been articulated on the local level.
