Roger L. Brauer is a safety engineering expert based in the United States. He earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Safety Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Ergonomics from Valparaiso University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA. Dr. Brauer spent 20 years at the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory and taught as an adjunct professor at UIUC. He later led the Board of Certified Safety Professionals as Technical and Executive Director. A Fellow of the American Society of Safety Engineers, he authored 12 books and holds two patents as a licensed Professional Engineer.
