Reproductive rights are fundamental for the life, freedom, health, and safety of over half the world's population. Alison Brysk is Distinguished Professor in the Department of Political Science and Global Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a past Fulbright and Woodrow Wilson Fellow and is the author or editor of 18 books on human rights, including her most recent work, The Struggle for Freedom from Fear (Oxford 2018).
