Andrew Burgess is a Professor Emeritus of Corporate and Commercial Law, a retired Justice of the Caribbean Court of Justice and a retired Justice of Appeal of the Barbados Court of Appeal. He is a former Dean of the Faculty of law of the University of the West Indies and a former Judge and President of the Inter-American Development Bank Administrative Tribunal and Judge and President of the World Bank Administrative Tribunal in Washington, D.C.
