The book »Challenges of Modern Society From Different Perspectives« presents eight contributions of twenty authors, which deal with different current thematics connected with the influence of modern social phenomenon on the individual’s development. By flipping through individual chapters, we can get a glimpse of parental identification of interests for mathematics of their children and therefore come across different open questions that guide us in this process. These chapters are followed by those that deal with a more current problem – the problem of video violence on the adolescents and the insight into professional development of information-communications technology experts and their broader professional vision in modern society, which is strongly connected with financial background. The relationship of social research continues in presentation of findings on how a broader environment, which is stimulated by music, can have effect on people in/or have the same effects on both sexes. The text also deals with older population and in this part of the book, different strategies for prevention and reduction of abuse of the elderly risk factors are presented. The findings are mostly oriented towards training of the appropriate personnel, so that we can recognize abuse and carry out preventive measurements. The content also includes exploration of factors of unusual adolescent behaviour and the same in the following article on patriotism phenomenon discussion. In this context, we find discussions on this topic, expressed by several critics and findings about the fact that patriotism should be understood as a civil, moral and epistemological occurrence. At the end of the book, we can find the concept of research of the factors that affect the belief in diversity in today’s society and this rounds up the coherent whole of some of the current segments of social phenomenon and its effect on us.
