This book examines three metafunction meanings in subtitle translation with three research foci, i.e., the main types of cross-modal interrelation, the primary function of semiotic interplay, and the key linguistic components influencing the subtitles. Dr. Yuping Chen graduated with a PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia, and is currently an Associate Professor at China Agricultural University. Her main research interests are in translation studies, discourse analysis and semiotics.
