R. Gregory Christie has illustrated over fifty children’s books and is a four-time recipient of the Coretta Scott King Honor Award for illustration and a two-time recipient of the New York Times Best Illustrated Books of the Year Award. He’s also a recipient of the NAACP’s Image Award, the Boston Horn Book Award, and the American Library Association Theodor Seuss Geisel Award in Illustration. When he’s not illustrating, Gregory spends time educating young people about art and literacy.
