This volume will give a coherent and concise account on recent developments. It will deal with all the important and relevant aspects of floriculture. The publication of this volume is planned to reveal multifarious activities done on different aspects of floriculture so that innovations made so far can be used judiciously for this sector. Dr. Youdh Chand Gupta is presently working as Professor and Head in Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Dr. Y.S. Parmer University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

He has published more than 60 research papers in various journals of repute and received best paper/poster awards in different national and international seminars. Besides this, authored books/manuals, technical bulletins and more than 50 extension articles. Handled more than 15 outside funded research projects as Principal Investigator. Developed Varieties `Solan Mangla’ hybrid of ladiolus and `Solan Shringar’ hybrid of Chrysanthemum which was released on 27.2.2014. Released ` Shri Virbhadra Singh’ newly developed variety of carnation.
