Kacem Qaiss, Abou el
Professor Abou el Kacem Qaiss is a professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and Director of the Composites and Nanocomposites Centre at the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR), a role he has held since 2010. He earned his Ph.D. from Université Laval (Canada) and brings more than two decades of experience across teaching, research, and industry. His work focuses on hybrid polymer composites, advanced materials (including graphene/nanoclay), lignocellulosic reinforced polymers, nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibres, and polymer blends. His research is supported by grants from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, MAScIR, the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Training (MESRSFC), and the OCP Group.

Essabir, Hamid
Prof. Hamid Essabir is a Qualified Higher Education Professor and has served as Head of the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at the National School of Applied Sciences (ENSA), Agadir, Morocco, since 2018. He is also an associated researcher at MAScIR, Institute of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (NANOTECH), in Rabat. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences and Techniques (2015) through Ibn Zohr University in collaboration with MAScIR, with a dissertation focused on bio-composites derived from argan nutshells, including development, characterization, and mechanical modeling. His research covers hybrid reinforced/filled polymer composites, advanced materials such as graphene/nanoclay, lignocellulosic reinforced/filled polymers, modification of lignocellulosic fibers, nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibers, and polymer blends. His research is supported by MAScIR, UM6P, MESRSFC, and the OCP Group.

Bouhfid, Rachid
Prof. Rachid Bouhfid is currently working as an Associate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Benguerir, Morocco. Before joining UM6P, he served as the Director of Research at the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation, and Research (MAScIR) in Rabat, Morocco, and as an Assistant Professor at Artois University, France. Prof. Bouhfid earned his doctoral degree from Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. He has over fifteen years of experience in teaching and research in organic chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, and polymer chemistry. His main research interests include hybrid nanomaterials, reinforced polymer nanocomposites, and advanced materials such as graphene, nanoclay, cellulose nanocrystals, and nanocomposites. Throughout his career, he has developed various nanostructured materials for wastewater treatment, packaging, sensing, and biomedical applications. He has authored more than 200 research papers in SCI-indexed journals, edited six books, and co-authored over 54 book chapters.
