Advanced Heat Transfer, Fourth Edition provides a comprehensive source for analyzing heat transfer problems across a wide range of modes and applications in energy systems, including conduction, convection, radiation, phase change, and chemically reactive flows with heat transfer.

The fourth edition introduces significant updates, including new content on historical perspectives of heat transfer, experimental methods, measurement uncertainties, and solidification processing of materials. It expands upon the coverage of advanced cooling techniques for electronics, waste heat recovery, and microchannel heat exchangers. New case studies explore topics such as optimization of electronic assemblies, directional solidification, heat recovery in industrial applications, and neural networks.

This book is intended for senior undergraduate and graduate mechanical, aerospace, and chemical engineering students taking courses in Heat Transfer, Multiphase Heat Transfer, and Advanced Thermodynamics.

A Solutions Manual, PowerPoint Lecture Slides, and Figure Slides are available for adopting instructors.

The eBook+ version of this book features new interactive learning features, including multiple-choice and true/false quizzes, flashcards, and links to video and audio lectures.
