Roger L. Franz has an extensive body of work spanning several decades, primarily focused on electronics materials, sustainability, and environmental regulations. He has authored more than 50 publications and presentations. He has been a participant in IPC Material Declaration Standards development and in the IEC Technical Advisory Group TC-111 on Electronics and the Environment. He received Best Paper Awards and a CEO EHS award while at Motorola, developed standards and white papers at UL Environment, and has been a Principal in Engineering Compliance and Sustainability within the Corp. Information Solutions group at TE Connectivity. He has four US patent publications and one patent granted. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and writing and performing music and poetry under pen and stage name Roger Hammer.
