Studying logistics with little-to-no experience or coming from a different background can seem daunting but with Business Logistics students will gain foundational understanding of the constantly evolving logistics industry and what it has to offer. This introductory text covers the fundamental aspects of logistics, and how it is integrated within the business world, giving readers the working knowledge of the industry and how it is managed. Split into four parts, the book takes the reader through an introduction of the logistics industry; covering different logistics operations, modality types and management; the final part incorporates key resources to encourage further study such as useful website links and data sources. With real-world examples from global companies such as GXO Logistics and Yusen Logistics to illustrate several concepts such as warehousing, global supply and distribution, this textbook is supported by a range of key features to grow and maintain knowledge about the industry. Business Logistics also includes a glossary, learning outcomes, exercise questions, with online resources such PowerPoint slides for lecturers and multiple-choice questions and answers for students. This book is for undergraduate students taking Logistics and Supply Chain Management courses looking to understand the ever-evolving logistics industry and what it has to offer.
