Understand how AI has disrupted Design Thinking within the creative industries and learn how to adapt to this new paradigm. Traditionally, Design Thinking has focused deeply on understanding users’ needs through a process centered on a human-centered approach to solving problems and creating new solutions that understand users, generate ideas, build prototypes and test their results. This book provides a guide to understanding and applying Design Thinking in an industry becoming increasingly reliant on Generative AI.

Split into three sections, you’ll learn how to communicate effectively with an AI, how to craft prompts, and provide examples of common tasks using AI. The book then builds on this knowledge by offering 19 projects across a wide range of creative roles that illustrate how Generative AI can be applied within these areas. The projects are designed to give you an opportunity to “kick the tires” of Generative AI while creating various practical projects that demonstrate how to produce interesting results.

will provide you with a deeper understanding of how generative and agentic AI is changing professional design practices within the creative industries, the tools and best practices involved, and how to implement them in your own projects and design practices.

You Will Learn To:

  • Explore Generative AI through the lens of design thinking
