Nancy is a young woman trying to overcome a difficult childhood. She lives in a world where all conspiracy theories have come true. One day, she is hit by a car and meets the charming Alex. Although Nancy is an atheist and Alex is superstitious and religious, they fall in love. They both work for the same employer, Nolem. A prolific inventor, he belongs to a secret society which holds four creatures captive, as they possess the secret to eternal life. By selling serums containing the creatures’ genome to wealthy individuals, the secret society finances a secret polar station. After people on social media start turning against the corporations controlled by the secret society, Nolem finds another way to control people. One of his departments produces artificial viruses, which he deliberately releases, while another department produces a vaccine with nanochips that can disable people's immune systems. As a pandemic slowly spreads, a friend of Alex's from the religious group discovers that an asteroid is hurtling towards Earth. Alex becomes the leader of a group headed for the polar station and becomes increasingly fanatical and aggressive. Nancy flees and is offered a job at the underground polar station, together with the colleague who took her in. A group of flat-Earth believers know the coordinates of the polar station, and they meet Alex's group at the southern tip of Chile. Although the groups are very different, they both want to break into the polar station. Nancy finds a small paradise under the polar station, but her peace does not last long.
