Dr. Ankur Gupta is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, India. His research focuses on functional microsystems, MEMS, advanced manufacturing, and frugal technologies for healthcare and environmental applications. He recently received the “Institute Research Excellence Award 2025” and “Senior Researcher Award (Engineering) 2025”. Previously, he has also received “Young Researcher Award (Engineering) 2024” by IIT Jodhpur, "Institute of Smart Structures and Systems (ISSS) Young Scientist Award 2022" and "Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) membership 2023" in "Engineering Sciences" category by INYAS, which is recognized scientific body under the Indian National Science Academy (INSA). Dr. Gupta was also selected as “BRICS Young Scientist” by the Department of Science and Technology, India, to participate in the Second BRICS Young Scientist Conclave held at Zhejiang University, China, in 2017. He is also a recipient of the ISEES Young Scientist Award (2017), IEI Young Engineer Award (2019–20) from the Institution of Engineers (India) in the production division, and SERB International Research Experience (SIRE) Fellowship Award (2022) for a research visit at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany and Scientific high level visiting fellowship sponsored by French Embassy (2023).

Dr. Vikram Kumar is Workshop Manager at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. He received his PhD degree from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2018 and ME degree from UIT-RGPV Bhopal in 2011. After his Ph.D. he was awarded Senior Research Associateship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (India) to pursue research at IIT Kanpur. Dr. Vikram Kumar also worked as Assistant Professor (Research) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, India. He is the recipient of best Ph.D. thesis award (2018) from International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, India. His areas of research include two broader aspects: (1) Tribology which includes: Polymer and composite coating; wear, friction, and lubrication; (2) I C Engine: alternative fuels, advanced combustion technology, engine emissions measurement, particulate characterization, and spray diagnosis using Phase Doppler Interferometry and Mie Scattering. He has published 27 high-impact factor journal papers, 16 book chapters, 16 conference papers and co-edited 7 books, which have over 1000 citations. With an h-index of 18 and an i10-index of over 35, his research underscores his significant and influential contributions to the field. He is a lifetime member of ISEES.
