The book is the extension of a conference that our Research Training Group (RTG) ›Praciticing Place‹ hosted in February 2024. As RTG, we are interested in the ways in which placings and practices generate imaginaries and are in turn influenced by them.

It is offers a uniquely interdisciplinary approach to imagining building a bridge between the humanities and social sciences.
3. What makes your topic relevant for current research debates?
It shows how imagining and imaginaries can overcome boundaries between disciplines and engages with the question how our imaginaries shape our sociocultural environments.
4. Choose one person you would like to discuss your book with!
It would be great to discuss the book with leading practice theorists like Theodore Schatzki but also with Anna Tsing whose work was a great inspiration for our introduction.
