Hanson, Jonathan
Jonathan Hanson has been a sea kayaking instructor and guide since the 1980s. He has paddled in venues from South America to the Arctic Ocean, and routinely guides trips to Baja California and the Sea of Cortez. Hanson won the National Outdoor Book Award for The Ragged Mountain Press Guide to Outdoor Sports in 1997. He writes sea kayak boat and equipment reviews for Outside and National Geographic Adventure magazines, and his 2001 book for Outside Magazine on great world sea-kayaking destinations was shortlisted for the Banff Award.
