The Journal provides expert coverage of the latest developments in law, policy and practice across the field of social security law and tax credits. Forthcoming issues are scheduled to include:

• Work for your benefit schemes and the implications of Reilly and Wilson
• Housing benefit and the 'bedroom tax' in the light of R (MA) v Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Others
• Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

The Journal will continue to give detailed coverage to the many legislative developments, including not only changes in primary legislation but also amendments to the numerous regulations governing social security. Areas covered include the implementation of Universal Credit, which will progressively replace a range of means-tested benefits and tax credits, and reform of disability benefits, including the replacement of Disability Living Allowance by Personal Independence Payment. Reforms in the area of pensions are also given attention, including the universal flat rate state pension as provided for by the Pensions Bill 2013-14. The journal will also continue to focus on case law developments, including the decisions of the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber). The Journal remains committed to highlighting the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 and European Law in the field of social security together with other international developments of particular interest.
