Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents: From Fundamentals to Environmental, Food, and Pharmaceutical Applications offers an in-depth exploration of NADES, covering both their core principles and practical uses. The book aims to bridge scientific research with industrial practices, emphasizing the role of NADES in promoting environmentally sound and efficient solutions. It begins with a clear introduction to the basics of NADES, including classification, design, and characterization, along with an assessment of their environmental impact. Structured into six sections, the book discusses key topics such as environmental applications (pollutant removal, heavy metal removal, oil and gas recovery, etc), food-related uses (antifreezing, phenolic extraction, preservation, eco-friendly agriculture, etc), pharmaceuticals and biotechnology (green solvents, drug delivery, biotechnological tools, etc), and extraction techniques (HPLC, microextraction, bioactive compound recovery, etc). The final section considers future directions, focusing on sustainability, energy recovery, and recent innovations. Each chapter is concise, well-illustrated, and designed for practical understanding, making it a valuable resource for both students and researchers. Targeted at postgraduates, PhD scholars, researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals, this book supports the development and application of sustainable technologies through green chemistry principles. It aims to inspire further research and facilitate the practical implementation of NADES across scientific and industrial sectors, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
