Kumar, Kamal
Kamal Kumar is an Assistant Professor at Shivaji College, University of Delhi. He has also taught at Hindu College, Lakshmibai College and Satyawati College. He has received the Academic Excellence Award while graduating from Hindu College and secured a University Position at the University of Delhi. He was awarded an MPhil in 2013 from the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi, and presently, he is pursuing a PhD from the same institution. He was awarded an All India Postgraduate Scholarship in 2011 and the UGC Junior Research Fellowship in 2013. He has also been awarded the ICSSR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL GRANT in 2018 for participating in the 76th Annual Midwest Political Science Association Conference held in Chicago, US. He has attended the U21 Masters Intensive Module 2012 organized in collaboration by the University of Birmingham, University of Delhi and University of Melbourne. He has published five research articles in UGC-approved journals like Mainstream, Social Change and Intellectual Resonance, and contributed two articles in national newspapers. He has authored over ten articles for different textbooks and reference books published by reputed publishers like Orient BlackSwan and Tripura University. He has also presented around eleven research papers in various national and international conferences. His research interests include comparative politics, environmental politics in South Asia and social movements.

Jindal, Nirmal
Nirmal Jindal is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Satyawati College, University of Delhi. She has been a recipient of Fulbright (predoctoral) fellowship at the Center for Science and International Affairs, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 1984–1985. She was also awarded a Diploma in Advanced International Studies on Peace and Conflict Resolution from the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University, Sweden, in 1991. She is a recipient of the ‘Best College Lecturer Award’ for the year 2017–2018, awarded by Directorate of Higher Education, Delhi Government. She has authored two books, titled War as a Political Weapon in the Nuclear Age and US Foreign Policy: Issues and Perspectives. She has contributed numerous articles and research papers on issues of security, foreign policy, the Indo–Pakistan conflict in Kashmir, strategic deterrence and globalization in various journals and edited volumes of national and international repute. She has been a visiting faculty to various reputed universities and organizations, including the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi; the Internal Security Academy, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Camp, Mount Abu; and the Centre for Professional Development in Higher Education (CPDHE), University of Delhi. She has participated in various national and international conferences and presented about 50 research papers, including at the International Studies Association (ISA), Portland, USA, and St Gallen University, Switzerland. At present, she is working on the issue of environmental security. She has also participated in panel discussions on foreign policy and security issues on Zee News, NDTV, and other channels several times. She is also interested in and associated with aviation security training for civilians, which has been covered by electronic and print media including the Fox History Channel, NDTV, Zee News, the Times Magazine, and Harmony magazine, and various newspapers, including India Today.
