Jordaan, Henry
Dr. Henry Jordaan received his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of the Free State. He has published in various peer reviewed journals, and he is a reviewer of international journals, including Sustainability; Climate; Science of the Total Environment; and Ecological Economics. His current research interests are in the sustainable use of freshwater for food production. Special attention in his work is given to balance environmental, social, and economic aspects of freshwater use for food production.

Bergman, Manfred Max
Prof. Manfred Max Bergman’s main focus is on sustainability and global studies in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the interdependence of society, business, and government in a globalized world. In pursuing policy-relevant and change-oriented research relating to societal sustainability, he is working on a new social science research approach, entitled Social Transitions Research (STR). He holds the Chair of Social Research and Methodology at the University of Basel, and he is a member of UNESCO NatCom Switzerland and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative for the United Nations. He chairs the World Sustainability Forum and currently publishes on corporate sustainability in BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
