This book examines the process and the impact of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, otherwise known as the Tokyo Trial, which was convened in 1946 to try political military leaders accused of involvement in war crimes. Über Autor(innen)

Mei Ju-ao (Chinese: ???, 1904-1973) was a Chinese jurist, legislator and author. After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1924, Mei Ju-ao studied in the United States and in 1926 was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, and elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society the same year. Mei went on to study law at University of Chicago Law School, where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 1928. In 1946-48, Mei was the Chinese member of the judges in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East's trials of Japanese war crimes committed during the second World War.
