Quantum Security from Communication Networks to Applications

Quantum cryptography secures communications at subatomic dimensions, yet practitioners need structured guidance connecting foundational quantum mechanics to real-world security implementations. Quantum Security: From Communication Networks to Applications systematically examines quantum computing, quantum gates, and quantum circuits before detailing secure quantum communication methods. Each chapter extracts and explains the defining features of specific protocols, tracing their development from early research to current practice.

Quantum Security applies cryptographic techniques to practical image processing scenarios, covering encryption methods for gray and color images with varied characteristics. The book details how quantum protocols enable encrypted transmission of medical images and other sensitive visual data. Coverage spans quantum information science fundamentals, protection against external eavesdropping, and defense against dishonest receivers within communication systems.

The book also covers: - Quantum circuit design principles and quantum gate operations that underpin secure communication protocols across network architectures
- Detailed analysis of multiple image encryption methods applied to images with different structural and color characteristics
- Secure processing and transmission techniques for medical images using quantum cryptographic protocols to protect patient data
- Defense mechanisms addressing both external eavesdropping threats and internal dishonest receiver activity within quantum communication channels
- Historical development of quantum information science from its theoretical origins through current advances in quantum security research

Quantum Security serves professionals in critical infrastructure, finance, data protection, and public sectors who need to understand quantum-secured communications. Graduate students and senior undergraduates in electrical engineering and quantum computing will find the progression from quantum fundamentals to applied image encryption directly relevant to their work.
