Dr. R. Lee Kirby received his MD degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. His specialy training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was carried out at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is a full Professor in the Division fo Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University. His primary research interest is the safety and preformance of wheelchairs. He has published 143 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 302 abstracts and proccedings. He's considered one of the world's top experts in wheelchair technology, assesment and usage.
