Bevernage, Berber
Berber Bevernage is Associate Professor of Historical Theory at the Department of History at Ghent University (Belgium). His research focuses on the dissemination, attestation, and contestation of historical discourse and historical culture in post-conflict situations. He has published in journals such as History and Theory, Rethinking History, Memory Studies, Social History and History Workshop Journal. Berber is co-founder of the interdisciplinary research forum ‘TAPAS/Thinking About the PASt,’ which focuses on popular, academic, and artistic dealings with the past. He co-established the International Network for Theory of History (INTH), which aims to foster collaboration among theorists of history around the world.
Regazzoni, Lisa
Lisa Regazzoni is an Associate Professor of the Theory of History and Director of the Center for Theories in Historical Research at Bielefeld University. She earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a venia legendi (Habilitation) in Modern History. Her research focuses on German Philosophy of History, theory and epistemology of history, history and theory of scientific collecting, and material culture. She is co-editor of the blog Theory of History at Work (https://gtw.hypotheses.org).
Kleinberg, Ethan
Ethan Kleinberg is Class of 1958 Distinguished Professor of History and Letters at Wesleyan University, Editor-in-Chief of History and Theory and was Director of Wesleyan University’s Center for the Humanities. Kleinberg’s research interests include European intellectual history with special interest in France and Germany, critical theory, educational structures, and the philosophy of history. Together with Joan Wallach Scott and Gary Wilder he is a member of the Wild On Collective who co-authored the “Theses on Theory and History” and started the #TheoryRevolt movement. He is the author of Emmanuel Levinas’s Talmudic Turn: Philosophy and Jewish Thought (SUP); Haunting History: for a deconstructive approach to the past (SUP); Generation Existential: Martin Heidegger’s Philosophy in France, 1927-61 (CUP) which was awarded the 2006 Morris D. Forkosch prize for the best book in intellectual history by the Journal of the History of Ideas and co-editor of the volume Presence: Philosophy, History, and Cultural Theory for the Twenty-First Century (CUP).
Platt, Kristin
Kristin Platt is a Social Theorist at the Ruhr-University Bochum. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and a venia legendi (Habilitation) in Cultural Studies. She is the Director of the Institute for Diaspora Research and Genocide Studies and teaches as a professor at the Department of History (University of Bochum) and at the Institute for Cultural Studies (Humboldt University Berlin). Her work focuses on questions of collective violence, patterns of cultural identity, and social knowledge. At the intersection of history and social psychology, her research is concerned with theoretical questions and individual case studies on antisemitism and racism, social ideologies, and genocide. In addition to numerous individual publications, she is co-editor of the Zeitschrift für Genozidforschung.
