Originally published in 1963, Skill in Sport was addressed to students and teachers of Physical Education, to coaches interested in the more theoretical aspects of their work, and to all individuals who wished to find out the best ways to acquire skill in any particular game or sport. Practical issues are dealt with first and then the underlying theories are considered. Many references are cited and many practical examples are given. The book sets out to stimulate discussion, more precise observation and research and it provides a sound basis on which to build a more complete understanding of skill and its attainment.
