Alesja Lavrinovica unternimmt eine kritische und detaillierte Analyse der Verse 1 Kor 14,34-35, die seit Jahrhunderten zentrale Bedeutung in der Diskussion um die Rolle von Frauen in frühchristlichen Gemeinden besitzen. Sie verbindet textkritische, redaktionskritische und sprachwissenschaftliche Methoden, um die syntaktischen, semantischen und pragmatischen Besonderheiten der Perikope herauszuarbeiten. Dabei wird die handschriftliche Überlieferung mit besonderem Blick auf frühe griechische und lateinische Texte untersucht und im Licht der exegetischen Diskussion von der Patristik bis zur Gegenwart bewertet.
Die Autorin zeigt, dass die Verse 34-35 eine eigenständige Texteinheit mit brüchigen syntaktischen Anbindungen bilden. Pronomengebrauch, Verbformen und Schlüsselbegriffe wie ?????s?a, ?a?e?? und ????? t?? ?e?? weisen deutliche Spannungen zu den umgebenden Versen auf. Diese Beobachtungen stützen die Hypothese einer späteren Einfügung. Zugleich arbeitet die Autorin die Funktion der Verse 33b und 36 als redaktionellen Rahmen heraus, der die vermeintliche Vorschrift universalisieren und auf die Einheit der Kirche ausrichten sollte. Damit erweist sich der Abschnitt als nicht-authentisch paulinisch, sondern als spätere redaktionelle Schicht.
Alesja Lavrinovica hinterfragt traditionelle rhetorische Interpretationen, die von einer durchgehenden Kohärenz ausgehen, und schlägt stattdessen ein Modell vor, das Textinkohärenzen als Belege für Interpolation versteht. Sie bietet so neue Einsichten in Fragen der Autorschaft, der frühkirchlichen Praxis im Umgang mit Geschlechterrollen und der Herausbildung kirchlicher Normen.
