Chuan chang Li, Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor specializing in new energy and thermal energy storage technologies. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Principles and Technology of Energy Storage, Solar Thermal Utilization, and Introduction to New Energy Science and Technology. His research focuses on phase change energy storage materials, thermal interface materials, and solar thermal utilization, leading to over 50 publications in high impact journals and more than 20 Chinese and U.S. patent applications. He has directed multiple national and provincial research projects and received several awards, including the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society for Power Engineering and multiple provincial level innovation prizes. Dr. Li has also authored four textbooks and has been recognized as a “Huxiang Young Talent,” a “Young Backbone Teacher,” and an “Outstanding Innovative Youth” in Changsha.
Prof. Wei Wu received his Ph.D. in Building Science from Tsinghua University and is currently an associate professor in the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on building energy and sustainability technologies, including advanced heat pumps, novel working fluids, thermal energy storage, and net zero energy buildings. He has published over 150 peer reviewed papers, holds 23 patents, and is recognized among Stanford University’s Top 2% Most Highly Cited Scientists Worldwide. Prof. Wu has received numerous honors, such as the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong & Macau), the IIR Willis H. Carrier Young Researcher Award, and multiple international invention gold medals. He also serves on editorial boards of several SCI journals and contributes as an expert to IEA SHC and HPT programs.
Xiaoqin Sun, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor whose work centers on building energy efficiency and phase change thermal energy storage technologies. She teaches courses including Engineering Fluid Mechanics, Pumps and Fans, and Technical English for engineering students. Dr. Sun has led more than ten national and provincial research projects, including programs under the National Key R&D Plan and multiple grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and she has published over 40 academic papers with more than 30 indexed by SCI/EI. She holds ten granted national invention patents and has received several honors, such as the Hunan “Huxiang Young Talent” award, provincial and municipal science and technology progress prizes, and recognition in multiple youth talent programs. In addition, she has supervised award winning national innovation projects and contributes actively to research and education in building environment and energy applications engineering.
