Lucian of Samosata is one of the most brilliant and wide-ranging writers from antiquity, and yet few commentaries are available for those who wish to read Lucian in Greek. NEIL HOPKINSON is Director of Studies and College Lecturer in Classics at Trinity College, Cambridge. He is the author of three previous commentaries in the Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics series, including A Hellenistic Anthology (1988) and Ovid: Metamorphoses Book XIII (2000).
