Dr Chan Lü is Associate Professor of Chinese language and linguistics at the Department of Asian Languages and Literature, University of Washington, USA. Her research focuses on bilingual and biliteracy development in school-aged children, and how classroom, school, and family factors facilitate such development. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals such as  and she is also the author of a 2019 monograph  (Palgrave MacMillan) and co-author of a 2026 textbook (Cambridge University Press). She is also serving as an associate editor for .   Dr. Xiaomeng Li is Assistant Professor of Chinese and Applied Linguistics in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Western Washington University, USA. Her research focuses on second language reading and language assessment using a quantitative methodology. Her work has been published in , , and , among others.    Dr. Sihui (Echo) Ke is Associate Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
