This textbook will provide a systematic comprehension of the various medically important human parasites; their distribution, habitat, morphology and life cycle, pathogenesis and clinical features, laboratory diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control. Prof. Dr. Rohela Mahmud is a clinical parasitologist with almost 35 years of experience and Prof. Dr. Yvonne Ai-Lian Lim is a basic scientist with a PhD in Parasitology. Both experienced parasitologists are very passionate about teaching and sharing their knowledge. Dr Amirah Amir is a clinician by training with a PhD in clinical parasitology, who is equally enthusiastic about teaching.
