Vanadium Oxide Materials: Synthesis, Properties, and Emerging Applications presents the current state of the art in the design of vanadium oxides, associated composites, and heterostructure derivatives, including their respective applications in electronic devices, environmental catalysis, energy generation and storage, chemical conversion catalysis, and biomedical remediation. The chapters present a fundamental exploration of structure properties, materials design strategies, and the practical applications of vanadium oxides, providing an in-depth understanding of structure–activity performance relationships of vanadium- and vanadium oxide-containing materials. Furthermore, the chapters briefly highlight the commercial or industrial aspects of technologies integrating vanadium oxides as innovative enabling materials. The book considers a wide range of uses for vanadium and its oxides, including materials-integrated electronic devices (such as electrochemical biosensors, gas chemical sensors, photodetectors, and diodes), diversified catalytic-driven technology processes involving energy generation and storage, environmental remediations (such as pollutant detection and removal or elimination), and chemical conversions from fossil and renewable sources.
