Blockchain-Enabled Digital Security Solutions: From Theory to Real-World Solutions is a comprehensive edited volume that systematically explores the role of blockchain technology in strengthening digital security frameworks, with a special focus on Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems and emerging cyber-physical systems. The book bridges the gap between theoretical foundations and practical implementations, offering readers a holistic understanding of how blockchain can be leveraged to address contemporary cybersecurity challenges.

The rapid proliferation of IoT devices across domains such as smart cities, healthcare, supply chains, energy systems, and industrial automation has significantly increased concerns related to data privacy, trust, authentication, and system integrity. This book addresses limitations by presenting blockchain as a decentralized, transparent, and tamper-resistant solution capable of enhancing trust, accountability, and resilience in digital infrastructures.

The volume begins by establishing foundational knowledge of blockchain and IoT technologies, outlining their architectures, operating principles, and inherent security challenges. Subsequent chapters delve into advanced concepts such as blockchain-based authentication and access control, secure identity management for IoT devices, data integrity, auditability, and trust establishment in distributed networks. The book also explores the integration of smart contracts to enable secure and autonomous interactions among IoT entities, along with performance, scalability, and optimization issues in blockchain-enabled systems.

A distinctive feature of this edited book is its emphasis on real-world applications and practical use cases. Chapters highlight blockchain-enabled secure supply chain management, trusted data exchange mechanisms, and industry-specific implementations that demonstrate how theory can be translated into deployable solutions. Additionally, the book examines regulatory, legal, and governance considerations, offering readers critical insights into compliance, data protection, and policy frameworks that influence blockchain and IoT adoption globally.

This edited volume is primarily aimed at postgraduate students, doctoral researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and policymakers who seek an in-depth understanding of blockchain-based digital security solutions.
