He spent many years as an inventor, an industrial designer, and was a NASA contractor during the Apollo Program in the Mission Planning and Analysis Division of the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Texas. As the librarian for his astronomical society, he developed a web-based multimedia library system and introduced the society membership to the vast amount of astronomy-related multimedia available on the web.
