This book examines how artificial intelligence, robotics, computational design, and digital fabrication are transforming the conception, production, and experience of architecture and design. How do intelligent machines change design when their outputs move beyond the screen and enter matter, space, institutions, and public life? Alessandro Melis is an architect, urban designer, curator, and scholar. He is the IDC Foundation Endowed Chair and Full Professor at the School of Architecture and Design, New York Institute of Technology. His research focuses on architectural exaptation, resilient communities, artificial intelligence and design, exhibition architecture, and sustainability. He curated , the Italian Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.

Giovanni Santamaria is an Associate Dean, and Professor of Architecture at New York Institute of Technology. His research focuses on landscape and ecological urbanism, sustainable growth, and the relationships among architecture, urban systems, technology, and transforming environments. His teaching and curatorial work use mapping, exhibition, and interdisciplinary design research to examine contemporary spatial, social, and environmental conditions.

Eric Goldemberg is an architect, Associate Professor at Florida International University, and co-founder of MONAD Studio. His research and practice connect computational design, digital fabrication, architecture, music, and performance. His work includes three-dimensionally printed sonic sculptures and instruments, international exhibitions, and experimental projects investigating feedback, parametric design, and emerging technologies.

Fadhil Fadhil is a computational designer, digital artist, and robotic fabrication lab manager at New York Institute of Technology. A graduate of the Bartlett UCL, he leads work in digital and robotic fabrication laboratories and teaches computational design. His projects explore additive manufacturing, material experimentation, public art, and collaborative design research and have been presented internationally.
