This book explores how Generative Artificial Intelligence is reshaping creativity, innovation, and human–AI collaboration across art, design, business, and education. Taking an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach, the book offers conceptual frameworks and practical insights to support the active shaping of creative processes in the context of digital transformation. The book brings together international contributions from artistic practice, critical and philosophical inquiry, design and innovation research, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and future-oriented education. Structured around three thematic sections, creative practices and critical perspectives; human–AI collaboration in design and innovation; and education and future skills, the volume develops a coherent narrative on how AI transforms not only creative outputs, but also processes, roles, and ways of thinking.

A distinctive feature of the book is its integration of reflective and artistic perspectives with empirical studies and real-world applications. It traces historical developments of AI in creative domains, challenges dominant narratives of generative AI, and introduces novel approaches to co-creation and human–machine partnerships. Dr. Caroline Menezes holds a PhD in History and Theory of Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and is Co-Manager of the Institute for Digital Transformation and Innovation at BSP Business and Law School in Berlin. Menezes works on interdisciplinary research in digital transformation with a focus on creative technologies and human-centred AI. Her work bridges academic research and practice and is supported by international fellowships and over a decade of experience as a curator, writer, and cultural manager. She has contributed to international publications and projects at the intersection of art, technology, and digital culture.

Kristina Bodrožic-Brnic is Program Manager at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Zukunftskultur and Co-Manager of the Institute for Digital Transformation and Innovation at BSP Business and Law School. She is an AI trainer specialising in creative AI training for SMEs and teaches Intercultural Communication at the BSP's Hamburg campus. As a PhD student of Stuttgart Media University, she researches the intersection of AI and human creativity, focusing on human-centred technology adaptation formats.

Dr. Linda Candy is an independent researcher and writer specialising in creative practice, reflection, and collaboration in relation to digital technologies. Candy is Co-Director of ArtworksrActive, where she evaluates and advises on digital systems for creative work. Over a career spanning more than thirty years, she has researched artists, designers, and technologists, focusing on how digital systems enhance creative processes. Her work includes influential publications on practice-based research and creative collaboration, including The Creative Reflective Practitioner (2020) and The Routledge International Handbook of Practice Based Research (2022).

Prof. Dr. Thomas Thiessen is Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board and Head of the Institute for Digital Transformation and Innovation at BSP Business and Law School in Berlin. Thiessen also leads the consortium of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Zukunftskultur, focusing on digital transformation and sustainable innovation in SMEs. With a doctorate in media and communication sciences and a background in media consulting, he specialises in digitalisation, internationalisation, and innovation processes. As co-founder and former rector of BSP, he continues to shape the university’s strategic direction through teaching, research, and industry collaboration.
