Managing Mass Timber: A Guide to Delivering Large-Scale Mass Timber Construction Projects provides practitioners and students with a deep operational knowledge of constructing large scale mass timber structures.

Mass timber projects are growing at an unprecedented rate, and this textbook will enable the reader to gain a solid understanding of the mass timber (MT) construction process. The book is structured on widely taught solid theoretical frameworks related to construction project management and concentrates on the five pillars of construction management in the context of mass timber: Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Sustainability. It covers the historical roots of MT, supply chain distribution, associated risks, codes and standards, and other important operational aspects of MT, along with other core project management and lean manufacturing considerations required on any related degree program and in professional practice. To aid both student and teacher, the book includes chapter summaries, test questions and case studies.

This textbook is the first to enable readers in construction management and engineering, as well as related professional fields, to understand and manage the mass timber construction process out in the field.
