Ken Morling trained as an engineer and transferred to teaching in 1964. He wrote the first edition of this book in 1969 and was awarded an M.Phil for services to education.

Stéphane Danjou is Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Plant Design at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
