Über Autor(innen)

A professor of wildlife biology at Iowa State University, <strong>Paul L. Errington</strong> (1902–1962) was listed by <em>Life</em> magazine in 1961 as one of the top ten naturalists of his day. In addition to <em>Of Men and Marshes, Muskrats and Marsh Management</em>, and <em>Muskrat Populations</em>, he was the author of some 200 scientific articles and three posthumous books: <em>Of Predation and Life, The Red Gods Call,</em> and <em>A Question of Values</em>. In 1962 he received the Wildlife Society’s Aldo Leopold Award for his contributions to wildlife conservation. <br><br>Wildlife biologist <strong>H. Albert Hochbaum</strong> (1911–1988) directed the Delta Waterfowl Research Station from 1938 to 1970; he was the author and illustrator of <em>The Canvasback on a Prairie Marsh, Travels and Traditions of Waterfowl, </em>and <em>To Ride the Wind.</em>
