Originally published in 1951, this book contains seventy-three pictures of treasures found in Britain - things that have survived from ancient prehistoric times, made with care and made to be beautiful. Most of the treasures shown are to be seen in England in museums up and down the country. The book arouses enthusiasm in archaeologists; it will also be of special appeal to practising craftsmen and designers.
