Dr. Uday Shanker Dixit is presently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Head of Center for Indian Knowledge System at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He received B.E. degree in mechanical engineering from erstwhile University of Roorkee (now Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) in 1987, M.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1993, and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1998. He has worked in two industries - HMT, Pinjore, and INDOMAG Steel Technology, New Delhi, where his main responsibility was designing various machines. Dr. Dixit joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, in 1998, where he is currently a Professor. He was also the officiating director of Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, from February 2014 to May 2015.

Dr. Vikas Upadhyay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Patna, India. He received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, M.Tech., from the Faculty of Engineering, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, and Bachelor of Engineering from the IET, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, India. He has authored two textbooks (Basic Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Science) for first-year students. He has published/presented more than 50 technical papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and reputed conferences. His research interests are in broad areas of manufacturing science, with a specific interest in environmentally friendly manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, wire arc additive manufacturing, and advanced welding techniques.

Dr. Sonu Rajak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Patna, India. He received his Ph.D. and M.Tech. degree from National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India. He received his bachelor's in production engineering from BIT Sindri, Vinoba Bhave University, India. He has more than 15 years of experience in the academic and industrial sectors. He has published more than 50 technical papers in peer-reviewed international journals, two edited books, 12 book chapters, and 15 articles presented at conferences at international levels. His research interests are in broad areas of manufacturing and production, specifically in additive manufacturing, wire arc additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and sustainability.
