Teresita Ramos is Prof. and Chair of the Department of Hawaiian and Indo-Pacific Languages at the University of Hawaii and an academic with many accolades to her name. Author of 2 significant Tagalog/Filipino texts and a matriarchal figure in the world of Filipino language teaching. Her co-author Ruth Mabanglo coordinates the Tagalog program at the University (the biggest outside the Philippines).
