This book provides an integrated approach to methodologies for decision-making in the presence of uncertainty, including fuzzy set theory, multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), soft computing, machine learning, deep learning, and hybrid intelligent systems. A common platform for all the authored chapters is the design of decision-making models that are flexible of uncertainty, scalable for high-dimensional information, explainable in reasoning, and compatible with human values and ethics of decision-making. By integrating symbolic reasoning and machine learning, this edited book aims at advancing the theory and practice of intelligent decision-making.
