This book puts the focus on Ménière’s disease regarding actual questions and a pragmatic approach to the illness, which is characterized by spasmodic rotatory vertigo, hearing loss and tinnitus. Dr. med. Helmut Schaaf had worked as an anaesthesiologist, until he fell ill from Ménière’s disease himself. He had to stop working in his original profession. Since 1994 Dr. med. Helmut Schaaf has worked as senior physician in charge and head of the otolaryngology department at the „Tinnitus-Klinik Dr. Hesse“ in Bad Arolsen (Germany). He has already published several books and scientific essays on topics like vertigo, tinnitus, dizziness e.g. rotatory vertigo and Ménière’s disease.

This book is a translation of the original German 1st edition  by Helmut Schaaf published by Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH, part of Springer Nature in 2017.The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence (machine translation by the service DeepL.com).
